More and more, day after day, it’s getting super important to be a great User Experience Designer, to have at least the slightest notion about Psychology.
In this article, i’ll be showing some examples on how to predict the User Behavior. It can be very simple and after reading this, you will probably start to see Products in a very different way.
01 - Don’t judge a Book by it’s cover.
Yes, judge. People tend to believe that things with a beautiful look will work better for them. Users have a positive emotional response to your visual design, and believe it or not, that makes them more tolerant to minor issues you might have on your product.

02 - To change behavior, the product must ensure the control of the User feels.
This tip, it’s actually really helpful because our feelings are directly connected to what we need and it can be explained in three simple steps:
- Identify: “Who are the habitual users?”.
- Codify: The steps that enthusiasts took using your product.
- Modify: Measure, modify and take new Users to the Habit Path.

03 - Less clicking, less searching, less learning.
Simplicity can be a very complex thing to achieve, but it’s totally worth doing because the First Requirement for an exemplary User Experience is to meet the exact needs of the Customer, without tricky or bothering experiences.

04 - The perception or representation that a person has in is mind
A mental model is what the Users believe about the system in hand. Each individual User has its own mental model, because it’s made of beliefs, not in facts.

05 - Look to the behavior of others
